Yesterday afternoon at a campaign stop in Kentucky, Hillary Clinton rolled out two new policy initiatives aimed at improving child care across America–an industry that needs all the help it can get. Clinton’s plan is two-pronged: first, to broaden a home-visiting program called MIEHC that reaches low-income at-risk children, and secondly, to increase pay for child care workers, who earn an average of only $22,310 a year.
