US: Gov’t says North Carolina LGBT law violates civil rights
Associated Press – May 04, 2016
The US Justice Department said Wednesday that North Carolina’s law limiting protections for LGBT people violates federal civil rights laws. North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory says the Obama administration’s warning means the issue is no longer confined to North Carolina and could affect other states. Here’s a look at legislation around the country.
