Tanzania: MPs Condemn Rising Wave of Child Abuse

Several Members of Parliament yesterday rose in unison to condemn the increasing wave of child abuse in the country. Morogoro South legislator, Prosper Mbena, (CCM), said most children have continued to suffer myriad abuses and are denied better services by their parents, a fact which he said, has led to the increasing number of “beggars, street kids and street mothers.”
