South Africa: Children’s rights highlighted at hearings

At the public hearings of the Children’s Second Amendment Bill, hosted by the Social Development NCOP delegation in Kokstad, children’s rights were highlighted. KZN National Council of Provinces (NCOP) members, led by chairperson Nahara Yatima, and a member from national Parliament, Lungelwa Zwane, attended. Yatima said the purpose of the proposed Bill is to ensure that children are protected, especially adopted children.
