PA: York County child welfare agency gets full license, averting possible state takeover

The county’s Office of Children, Youth and Families was issued its fourth provisional license in June by the state Department of Human Services. Kait Gillis, spokesomwan for the department, had said in April that if the agency had not earned a full license by the time it’s fourth provisional license had expired – which happened Tuesday – that “the state would have to assume management of the agency.”
