NY: State senator’s ailment stalls child abuse reform in committee

The fate of a bill to make it easier for child abuse victims to seek justice faces yet another hurdle in the state Senate. The bills addressing the issue now rest in the Senate Codes Committees. But committee chairman, Sen. Michael Nozzolio, will miss the rest of the legislative session after recent open heart surgery.
