NY: Monroe County reports spike in child neglect
Democrat and Chronicle – December 07, 2016
The county Department of Health Services anticipates handling about 10,000 reports of child abuse and neglect by the end of 2016, according to its 2017 budget proposals. That is up 12 percent from 2015 and 30 percent from 2014, when there were 7,665 such cases.
