TELEVISION PROGRAM: PBS 13

Many possible case scenarios of gay parents adopting children are presented. All parts of the country are represented. Gay couples and lesbian couples speak out about their wishes to be parents and their parenting experiences when they finally do realize that dream. Children are interviewed and they offer their feelings and viewpoints about having gay parents, two fathers or two mothers. One child spoke about the fact that her two dads split up and one of them had a new partner. She was happy for him and liked his partner but also wished that her two dads could get back together. Some youngsters said they did not tell people that they had two dads or two moms. They were not certain how others would react.
