A Workbook about Taking Care of ME!

  • Stauffer, Lori, PhD
  • Deblinger, Esther, PhD

Victimization in childhood can take many forms including physical, verbal and emotional hurts, and it can happen to boys and girls of all ages and all religious, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. For example, recent statistics suggest that by age 18, 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will experience sexual abuse. This workbook provides a great deal of information about emotional expression and coping skills to help children cope with any victimization they might experience as well as normal everyday life stresses. Skills and information specifically related to bullying, physical abuse, sexual abuse and stranger abduction are discussed.
Please note that this workbook is not meant for children to complete themselves.
