Greece: ELSTAT: Adoptions in Greece Decline Amidst the Financial Crisis

According to data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), last year adoptions in Greece fell to its lowest level in a decade. There are many factors that have contributed to this drop, including a nine-month strike by lawyers last year as well as the financial crisis making it more difficult for couples to afford adoption.
