Understanding Economic Abuse as a Form of Domestic October 19, 2023

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Economic abuse is a form of coercion in an intimate relationship that involves maintaining control over financial resources, withholding access to money, or attempting to prevent a partner or family member from working or attending school. Over 90% of family members who have experienced Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) have also experienced economic abuse. In this webinar, we’re discussing how Head Start programs can support families, especially those at risk for economic abuse, by integrating family economic mobility (FEM) conversations and supports into their family engagement strategies. This webinar is offered with simultaneous interpretation in Spanish.
