Transforming the Narrative on Latino Populations: When & How to Use Comparison Groups in Research July 26, 2022

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Initial efforts have been made to understand the needs of diverse populations by documenting disparities in outcomes of individuals from different racial and ethnic groups. However, between-group comparisons based on race and ethnicity are neither sufficient to address the root causes that result in such disparities nor always appropriate. The National Research Center on Hispanic Children & Families will discuss considerations when deciding when to center research around Latino populations and when comparisons by racial and ethnic groups are most appropriate (as opposed) during the webinar.
