Stalking and Sexual Violence: What Healthcare Providers Need to Know April 23, 2026
Sexual violence and stalking are prevalent, traumatic, and dangerous victimizations that often co-occur. When perpetrators of sexual violence stalk, their victims are at greater risk for further violence and require comprehensive safety planning and care that addresess both the sexual violence and the stalking victimization. Healthcare settings are critical alternative access points to the criminal justice system for survivors to disclose and receive care and referrals. In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, please join Laci Smith (MSN, RN, CPN, SANE-A) and SPARC’s Dana Fleitman as we highlight the intersections of stalking and sexual violence, focusing on similarities, co-occurrence, and strategies to support patients.
*We cannot guarantee accessibility requests made less than two weeks before the event.
