This presentation focuses on the critical but limited role agencies have in the suicide prevention process with emphasis on the following:
- Empowering youth agency staff and volunteers through education and awareness
- Understanding suicide warning signs & risk factors for teen suicide
- Reviewing strategies for dealing with at-risk youth and communicating concern with their parents
- Local resources
- Policy and protocol
