Dementia Resources & Supports May 14, 2024

This session includes a discussion of the prevalence of dementia in Virginia and its impact on families and finances, and looks at the infrastructure at a state and local level that aims to improve dementia knowledge, care and services, including through the Dementia Capable Virginia initiative that launched in 2022. The session also covers dementia friendly initiatives and introduces the concept of dementia risk reduction and brain health.
