Child Trends’ Applied Research Agenda on Black Children and Families: Engaging Communities for Meaningful Change September 24, 2024
In this one-hour session, panel members will describe how the applied research agenda was developed, its two priorities for advancing Black child and family well-being, and the role of community-engaged research in achieving the agenda’s key objectives. Panelists will also describe three community-engaged research projects focusing on protective community resources for Black families with children ages 17 and under, community safety, and critical literacy instruction for young children. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.
