Ticket: $0-$10.00
Clinicians can earn 1 Multicultural CE NBCC credit hour in this presentation about integrating cultural humility into clinical practice.
There are persistent treatment disparities in mental health treatment engagement and retention for people from minoritized communities. Mental health providers can help to close these gaps by addressing the cultural perspectives and experiences that influence therapeutic alliance and rapport. This workshop is designed to foster cultural humility, and begin to develop relevant practical skill, for mental health providers. Mental health providers across all fields, with or without prior experience in cultural humility, are invited to attend. The seminar will focus on core areas of (1) self-awareness and building a sense of cultural humility and (2) integrating cultural humility into practices, focusing on practical strategies for assessing cultural identities and building culture into service delivery.
