Aging and Isolation: Becoming a Lighthouse for Your Clients, Patients and Their Families May 10, 2024
Price: $51.00
Are social isolation and loneliness the same? Was loneliness inevitable when social distancing occurred during the past few years? These are important questions to consider as we move past the disruption of the pandemic and Covid-19 policies. Isolation for older adults and their family caregivers involves more than just loneliness—the literature suggests it’s downright dangerous for their health. Isolation doesn’t just negatively impact physical and mental health but also increases the risk that an older patient will be financially exploited or suffer other abuse. This interactive session will show you how to identify isolation and re-engage older adults who are experiencing its negative impact.
