Solo Aging with Sibley Senior Association June 10, 2026
SSA introduces a quarterly program for solo agers — whether people are single by choice, breakup with a partner, divorce from a spouse or death of a companion. Solo aging is rapidly increasing in the U.S., up to 28% of older adults ages 50 to 65+ now living alone without a spouse, partner or nearby children to rely on. Statistics show that by 2038 the majority of people 80 and older will be solo agers.
As more of us face the prospect of aging without the traditional support of nearby family or children, the concept of solo aging has never been more relevant. With proactive planning and intentional connection, solo aging can become a chapter defined by community, purpose and peace of mind.
