Meet the Waiting Children: Session in International Adoption November 18, 2026
There are several pathways to adopt internationally, with the majority of families joining a country program and waiting for a child to be referred to them directly. However, there are many children, often older or in sibling pairs, who are considered “Waiting Children” and are the most urgently in need of families today! Spence-Chapin is honored to be able to advocate for these children who have not found permanency through other pathways. If you are open to the adoption of an older child, a sibling pair, or a child with more complex medical or special needs, the Waiting Child pathway could be a good fit for you. Join us to learn more about the particular children we are currently advocating for.
** We have chosen the Go to Webinar Platform to respect that during the exploration phase, some families are not yet ready to share their hopes to adopt with others and in Go to Webinar, your names and faces will not be visible to other participants. But we are always happy to support families in building an adoption community! If you do feel ready to connect with other pre-adoptive or adoptive parents, please let us know and we can facilitate introductions for those who wish to be connected to other families.**
